Rainbow Chalkboard Recorder Fingering Charts

You are in for a real treat! I created these posters a couple years ago for my classroom to go with my Rainbow Chalkboard theme. I absolutely LOVED this theme. I have had SO many compliments on my classroom with all my posters of this style. Well, I finally have got my act together and have made them available on my TpT store for everyone to enjoy (with a few minor improvements from the picture you see here! Get ready for everyone at school to be envious of how great your classroom will be with the additions of these! Go to my store and take a look. You won't regret it!

Visit my TeachersPayTeachers store to add these fun posters to your classroom!

NOTE: This file includes 11 posters in PDF format that are intended to be printed on 11"x17" size poster paper. It does not fully fit an 11"x17", so you will need to trim the excess white paper before hanging them up. My recommendation for printing is to print on poster paper/cardstock in this size which you can get from your local office supply store (i.e. Office Depot/Max or Staples). You may also be able to print them there to get high quality looking posters for your students to enjoy. If not able to do so or you would rather save on wall or bulletin board space, you can also set your printing options in Adobe to fit 8.5"x11" instead.

A GREAT Reason To Take A Break

About 3 years ago, my husband and I ventured down a long, hard, but beautiful path to grow our family through adoption. We had many ups, many downs. Pursuing adoption can be quite an emotional path. Just over a year ago, our beautiful daughter was born! It was an amazing day that changed our lives forever for the better. She is such a HUGE bundle of joy! She is such a happy baby. Everywhere we go, you can just see people cheer up and their day brightened because of her. It's amazing how she can change the mood of a room to one of pure joy!

I decided to take some time from my blogging ventures so that I could spend more time with my family. And I am so glad I did!

She is THE BEST reason to take a break from some things I wanted to pursue professionally, but now because of her, I want to do more! I am hoping to attempt to get myself more involved with this whole blogging world.

So, why follow Hillary's Highlights? What can I learn or gain from here?

The perspective I bring is one of an elementary music teacher in an International Baccalaureate (IB) world. What does that look like? Is different than any other music teacher not in an IB school? I encourage you to follow me and learn some new approaches to "old" content.

Shabby Chic Recorder Fingering Charts

I've been having a very productive summer! I already have my next product up and made for you to enjoy! I'm in LOVE with this set this year and can't wait to transform my classroom. It's going to be amazing!

This set features wood and chalkboard backgrounds, lace trim, and the colors teal, mustard yellow, and rusty, coral oranges. Doesn't that just sound so pretty?!?!

I also have other natural elements with trees, leaves, and flowers. I also have birds on each page to connect with a quote that I will be using this year. I absolutely love the Henry Van Dyke quote:

"Use the talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best."

I have a huge beautiful chalkboard in my classroom that I use to write inspirational quotes on for my students. Won't this be a great one for this year? Yes? I thought so.

Visit my TeachersPayTeachers Store to buy these beauties!

NEW! Shabby Chic Style Music Classroom

Hello everyone!

I know I've been hiatus for a while. I appreciate ALL who come to visit my blog daily. Life has been a wonderful crazy whirlwind for the past couple years with the addition of my beautiful daughter. I will blog about this later! Such a fun story!

BUT FIRST! I wanted to let you all know that I'm currently working on creating products for this next school year. I have a crazy new plan for my room. I have fallen in love with Fixer Upper and the beautiful Joanna Gaines style. So, I'm going to "attempt" to put that style in my classroom...at least as much as my budget would allow! I'm trying to get away from all the plastic bins...although cost-effective and durable for teachers. I would like to try to get towards materials like wood and metal. More natural elements in my classroom as well as repurposed items. Well, all this to say that this means also changing the decor of all my posters and wall decorations in my room. I'm now working on adding these elements to my classroom. I'm finally done creating them and right now I'm in the process of getting them all on my TpT store for all of you to purchase and enjoy as well!

Please stay tuned for information on how my process of transforming my music room into my very own "Fixer Upper." Ha!

Take a look at my updated version of my "Music In Action" Bulletin Board Set now available on my TpT store!
